My good friends Seth and Sally Lundgren have “commissioned” me for a landscape design at their home in Cincinnati. After meeting with them in early July 2010, they conveyed the need for a variety of outdoor program including; dining space, play space, vegetable and flower gardening and open lawn area (among other specifications). It has been an interesting design problem thus far, since the client is real and implementation (at some scale) is a possibility.
In the coming weeks I’ll be posting some process work as I move along. By summer’s end I would like to have the project complete. Here’s what I have so far.
As with many things techie, I’m never the early adopter. I got my first cell phone in 2004, joined facebook in 2006, and first digital camera in 2009. So here’s to 2010 and the start of my first blog. At this pace I should expect that iphone by 2013!
My goal for this site is to primarily showcase my work as a budding landscape architect. Through photos, maps, sketches and drawings I hope to present my abilities and ideas. At the very least I want this site to inform the many puzzled people I meet who think landscape architecture is a fancy way to describe lawn mowing.
